Legislative Report

As I promised in my campaign, this office will work through our Central Texas State legislative delegation to establish more county authority to see that growth is responsible. The legislature is no longer in session, but we'll continue to fight for better, more responsive laws, until Texas counties have the legal framework they need to control their own resources, meet their challenges and fulfil their responsibilities to their citizens and to their environment.

While we're preparing for the next session of the legislature, however, we'll be busy doing what we can with what we've got. Check this page to get updates on our continuing efforts to bring our county ordinances and other protections to bear on the challenges we face .
